Mi-24/35 helicopter

The Mi-24 attack, transport, and combat helicopter (export version Mi-35) features a conventional design with a five-blade main rotor and a three-blade tail rotor. The two turboshaft engines are mounted on top of the fuselage. Short wings equipped for carrying weapons are attached to the fuselage. The tricycle landing gear features a retractable nose wheel. Depending on the version, the helicopter can carry machine guns, anti-tank missiles, rockets, and grenade launchers.

Both crew members (pilot and weapons operator) sit in tandem in armored cockpits. The main cabin accommodates eight people or four stretchers. More than 2,500 units have been manufactured, and the Mi-24 helicopter is in service in 34 countries.
